Sauteed okra with cayenne peppers

Ingredients

½ lb fresh young okra, washed
1 onion, sliced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, to taste
Kémia cayenne peppers

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a pan over medium heat
  2. Add sliced onion, and sauté for about 5 minutes until golden.
  3. Add the okras, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Sauté over medium-low heat until tender.
  4. Add Kémia cayenne peppers and toss to combine.
  5. Serve and enjoy.

Additional Tips

  • You can sauté tomato paste with okras if desired.
  • Serve with cooked rice, harissa chicken drumsticks, or other meat dishes.
