WITH EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
Harvested by hand when full of sun and well ripe, our semi-dried cherry tomatoes are then sliced manually, salted and placed on a wire mesh one meter above the ground to dry naturally under the Tunisian sun. As their name suggests, these miniature tomatoes are purposely half-dried, no more than a few hours. They are then potted by hand, and preserved in a mixture of olive oil, fresh basil and oregano and garlic. Ready to eat, our semi-dried cherry tomatoes are tender and melting at will, and release a sublime taste, a little sweet, of fresh tomatoes.
They can be enjoyed on bread or crackers as an aperitif, as a pasta sauce (with olive oil, garlic and basil), on fish in foil, or as a garnish for a duo pizza with goat cheese. They are also delicious in a sandwich, a burger, or in a salad. Try them in an omelet or in a quiche and you will be seduced forever! A word of advice: reuse the flavored oil in the pot to add flavor to your salads, stir-fries, pasta, and pizzas. She’s worth gold!
